If you are looking for some ideas of where to hit the town with your SO, first date, situation-ship buddy (whoever it is for you) but you aren’t quite sure where the best spots in San Diego might be, we’ve compiled a short list of ideas to hopefully provide some inspo for your next date night.

Valentina + JoJo’s Creamery (The Lumberyard)

Located in Encinitas, Valentina is a cozy, casual spot that offers an eclectic mix of seasonal plates inspired by Spanish and Mediterranean traditions. Some stand out dishes include their oysters, chicken paillard, and paella de mariscos. After a (majorly) YUM dinner, make your way to JoJo’s Creamery in The Lumberyard, which is located along the 101 highway and only 7 minutes away from Valentina.  JoJo’s is a charming, woman owned ice cream shop that serves artisanal, homemade ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie. Make sure to try one of their drool worthy fall flavors like the Apple Caramel Crumble and Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Taste of One Paseo (One Paseo Urban Village)

Go outside. Take a stroll. Get a taste of One Paseo. One Paseo’s Taste of One Paseo event is ALL the talk of the town. If you and your date can’t agree on what you want to eat, try a little bit of something from every food outlet in the urban village. This event is happening October 21st from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

The Presley + Mini Golf (The Loma Club, Liberty Station)

If you are in the mood for more of an activity themed date night, AKA something a little out of the ordinary rather than just a simple dinner date, look no further than to Liberty Station. First, make your way to the new, trendy spot Tapper’s Mini Golf and Cocktails where you can expect just that… mini golf and cocktails. And a healthy bit of competition, of course! Just make sure you book your tee time ahead of the date. After you finish your course at The Loma Club, make the quick walk to dine at The Presley, a dynamic outdoor restaurant and bar that offers American fare, local seafood, unique & shareable options, frozen cocktails, and more. P.S. Our favorite menu items are the roasted garlic flatbread, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the Caffé Martini.

We’re hoping these restaurants & activities provide a fresh new angle to your list of date night ideas. If you end up trying any one of these out, let us know!
