Things to Do in San Diego This Fall

White chess pawn on flower at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.

@estancialajolla

September is here and that means stores have put out their fall decor, Halloween candy is officially on the shelves, and Starbucks and Dunkin have released their PSLs for the season. Though it’s not quite fall yet, we wanted to roundup some of the top events we’re looking forward to this fall in San Diego.

Bridgerton Masquerade Halloween Soirée at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

Escape to a world of whimsy, mystery, romance and plenty of scandal at Estancia’s first-ever Bridgerton-themed Masquerade Halloween Soirée. Over-indulge in an evening featuring live entertainment, performances, unlimited food and beverage experiences. Whether you favor the Featheringtons or Bridgertons, come dressed in your best Regency-era costumes. Lady Estancia will be watching. The event is from 5pm-10pm on October 31 and tickets are $150.

Road Trip to Julian

Julian is where San Diegans go to feel like it’s fall. In September, head to Julian and go to one of the apple orchards to do some apple picking. Volcan Valley Apple Farm is open Fridays-Mondays from 9am-5pm until apples are gone, likely by early October. Julian Farm and Orchard opens on September 18 and will have hayrides, cider press, farm animals, axe throwing and a pumpkin patch to pick from. So grab your flannel and head to Julian this fall - don’t forget to pick up some pie while you’re out there too!

Oktoberfest at One Paseo

Beer and San Diego, name a better duo… I’ll wait. On October 2 from 2pm-6pm, One Paseo will be hosting an Oktoberfest event. Traditional fare, tunes and a unique offering of boutique beverages from San Diego’s finest producers. Tickets are $20 and include a full German style picnic plate and a flight of 4oz beers. There will also be games and the crowning of One Paseo’s Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfest.

Though average temperatures in San Diego in the fall are still in the 70’s and coastal towns see little to no leaves on the ground, we still like to put on our sweaters or flannels and feel like it's fall. So grab your Pumpkin Spiced Latte, though we suggest waiting for Communal to release theirs on October 1, and enjoy these fall events in San Diego!
