The Green Room Hotel, Oceanside
Public Relations & Grand Reopening

Goal: Katalyst was brought on by The Green Room Hotel to share the story of their opening and secure press about the new property on a local, regional and national level. As Oceanside continues to be a boom town for travelers, The Green Room needed to establish a presence for guests looking to explore the area of South Oceanside, take in the history and the design of the property, and enjoy The Green Room’s laid back SoCal atmosphere. Specific goals included securing press on the launch of the property, the design and the neighborhood as a destination.

Strategy: Creating dynamic storytelling focused on the ownership, property history and high-end design, Katalyst pitched writers and outlets in the travel, design, and lifestyle space, introducing them to The Green Room. Katalyst worked with The Green Room owners to secure stays for influencers as well as media looking to highlight the property and the neighborhood. Katalyst also created a number of suggested partnerships to expand the reach of The Green Room to additional markets and audiences. 

Result: The Green Room has been featured in national publications including: Conde Nast Traveler, Thrillist, UPROXX, Travel & Leisure and MSN. Regionally, The Green Room was included in stories from The LA Times, California Home + Design, The Hollywood Reporter, and Locale. The property received a steady stream of press and interest from both media and influencers looking to stay and cover the hotel.
